Our Mission

The mission of the Anthroposophical Institute Rudolf Steiner is to promote the study and the application of anthroposophy in the Brussels region in a European and multilingual context. The Institute is an ‘ASBL’ under Belgian law.

Anthroposophy was initiated by Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925) as a science aiming at understanding the spiritual dimensions of the human being and the cosmos. Based on these insights, many innovative applications have been developed such as biodynamic farming, anthroposophical medicine or Steiner-Waldorf education.

The General Anthroposophical Society has its center at the Goetheanum in Dornach, Switzerland. Most European countries have national anthroposophical societies.
